Aliso Viejo is one of the “newer” communities in Orange County. It has good mix of condo’s and single family homes that makes it a perfect fit for both the first-time homebuyer and those looking for large homes with spectacular views.
It became Orange County’s 34th city on July 1, 2001, the only city in the county to incorporate since 2000. It is 
bordered by the cities of Laguna Beach on the west and southwest, Laguna Hills on the east, Laguna Niguel on the southeast, and Laguna Woods on the north. Much of the city also rests on the east slope of the San Joaquin Hills, which are a coastal mountain range extending for about 15 miles (24 km) along the Pacific coast.
Aliso Viejo is an “active” community with numerous parks, hiking trails, and biking trails. Residents enjoy the hillside views and the close proximity to the ocean. The city also became more “accessible” after the completion of the 73 toll road. Making it an easier commute for those going to all parts of Orange County.
